         What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

After gathering our audience feedback we analysed it as a group and considered the ways in which we could make changes to our music video from the feedback we received. One of the main criticisms was the white space left on our green screen footage where we just had an artist on a white background rapping the lyrics to there verse. After receiving this feedback we as a group decided the most effective option was to add in text consisting of lyrics that would pop up around the artist as both he/she raps. Once doing this, although it wasn't conventional, we decided it was another aspect that was successful in allowing the audience to interact with the song as the the lyrics was now on screen.

Advertisement Changes

After analyzing the final advertisement as a team we decided the inital picture whereby we had 'chidz' surrounded by two girls gave the impression that we was advertising a group rather than a single artist, because of this we decided to change the picture to a single shot of 'chidz' to make it clear it was a solo artist advertisement rather than a group. We also decided to make the chidz logo larger as it was very much the same size as the money dance writing below it and didn't stand out as much as we felt it should of, we experimenting with the colours of the logo as can be seen above where the chidz logo is gold rather than black and gold however as a group we decided we preferred the black and gold as it fitted the house style of the advertisement better. We also decided to change the 'now available on itunes' words to an actual branded box of itunes to include iconography on our advertisement and make our advertisement more conventional.

This is our finished advertisement that follows the typical conventions of the Hip Hop genre and also keeps the existing house style of our overall project. Here we made sure the advertisement had the typical conventions of a music advertisement for example the reference to the "No.1 Hit" being Up All Night is a common thing to see within an album advertisement so this was a convention we insured we had on the front of our advertisement. Making reference to the No.1 Hit also advertised our groups music video through the advertisement of the 'debut album' "money dance. We included synergy through the use of cross media to Itunes whereby we mentioned the album is also available to purchase on itunes. We also advertised the website of the artist on the advertisement as another use of cross media.

What Happens If It Rains When We Plan To Shoot Against The Brick Wall?

If it happens to rain on the day my group has planned to shoot against the brick wall outside then as a team we will have to improvise, we will have to do more inside shots using a different background preferably a white background which will allow us to edit if necessary we could consider editing in a brick wall using photoshop skills and this is why a white wall would be more suitable just in case.

What Happens If Our Aritists Can No Longer Make It To Filming?

In order to be prepared for the worst as a group we have back up artists just in case our current artists happen to not be able to film when needed, this way filming wont be delayed and the production of the video can be continued.

Video Shoot Plan

Video Shoot 1-

First we plan to shoot our throne scene which is the scene that will begin the video. In order to shoot this scene we will need our character playing Drake which is Chidi Lawrence, we will also need the two girls we plan to use in this scene as dancers, models standing beside our artist. We plan to shoot this scene on an all white background using a dining room chair with a similar look to a throne in order to achieve our outcome of the throne scene. During this scene we will also need to have props such as Money and Champagne Bottles in order to create the "high life" style we plan to have in our video. All characters will be wearing all black costumes along with gold accessories and the make up will be very contrasting to the all black outfits to make the girls stand out as girls are a big part of Hip Hop Music Videos. This is a video shoot that will be edited in in many different ways and therefore this is one of the most important filming sessions in order to have enough footage for our video and also to get typical conventions perfect.

Video Shoot 2- 

Our second video sessions will be our performance element whereby we will have Drake (Chidi) standing in a studio rapping the drake lyrics of the song. During this shoot we will be trying to get the lip sync of the video perfect in order to make it look realistic in order to do this we have planned to have Chidi rapping the lyrics out loud with good pronunciation to match the lip sync up perfectly with the track. This video shoot will be Chidi's solo performance and therefore we will only need him on the day of the shoot. We will make sure Chidi is in attire that makes him look like a typical rap artist e.g. expensive looking clothes and jewellery.

Video Shoot 3-

The third time filming will be our female performance element whereby Nicki Minaj (Rochelle) will be standig in a studio singing/rapping Nicki Minaj's lyrics on the track. Again here we plan to achieve the same outcome as a male performance element in order to make the video perfect. 

Video Shoot 4 - (Perfection Filming)

We plan to have a 4th time filming where we will have all our characters on scene making sure we correct any mistakes made in previous filming sessions and also to film any extra clips we may need to fill in gaps in our video and any additional things we feel we may need to achieve the typical conventions of a Music Video.

The lyrics to drake and nicki minaj's "up all night" hold some of the typical conventions of the "hiphop" genre. Throughout both artists boast about there status and position within the music industry "I got money in these jeans, so they fit me kinda snug
Plus the game is in my pocket, nigga this is what I does" and "I get the kind of money that make a broke bitch bitter" something typically seen within the hip hop genre where rappers often rap about there wealth and power over other rappers. Both artists rap about the finer things in life such as expensive champagne and pricey shoes "I mean we can even rock them shoes if it don't got a comma on the price tag"  this again is a representation of the typical conventions of the hip hop genre specifically music videos where we see expensive clubs, alcohol, jewellery and clothing. After analyzing these lyrics i can draw links between potential things my group can have in the music video to go with the lyrics of the song. My music video can hold the typical conventions of a hip hop music video and this will link nicely to the lyrics within the song.

Questionnaire

After doing my questionnaire I have analysed the results and noticed a sequence in my results. Majority of people who done my questionnaire favored Nicki Minaj as there female rapper and Drake as there male rapper. I am pleased with the outcome of these two questions as these are the two artists on the track "up all night" that my group are producing a music video to. After analysing these results I will now ensure I construct the performers in my video in a similar way to Drake and Nicki Minaj in order to meet what my target audience (being majority17-18) want. Feedback from question 5 also told me majority of peoples latest favourite hip hop song is Drake- Worst Behaviour from this I will now go on to analyse the music video to this song which may give me some good ideas for my own music video. The answers to my 5th question were very broad I was given various names of music videos that i know wish to go on and research for ideas e.g Miley Cyrus- 23, Drake- Started From The Bottom and Beyonce- Drunk In Love. Feedback from question 6 told me my target audience like a video with a good performance element and storyline to follow and this is something I may consider with my group to implement in our own video. The last question on my questionnaire gave me many ideas for my own video jewellery such as gold chains, rings and watches.. leather was also a popular attire which tells me this may be something that is in fashion at the moment and would be good for a music video.
